Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you purchase a parking session through Geaux Parking, we collect the following:

• License plate number and state of registration - used to identify your vehicle for parking enforcement.
• Email address - used to send your parking receipt, session confirmation, and verification codes for session lookup.
• Payment information - processed securely by Stripe. We never store your credit card number. Only a payment reference ID and the amount charged are recorded on our side.

We do not require you to create an account. No passwords are stored.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Parking enforcement: Your plate number is used to verify valid parking sessions.
• Payment processing: Your email and payment reference are used to complete transactions and send receipts.
• Session lookup: Your email is used to retrieve your active or recently expired sessions via a one-time verification code.
• Employee whitelist: If a lot operator has added your plate to their employee whitelist, your plate and state are checked at checkout to determine whether payment is required.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the Platform. Each processes limited data on our behalf:

We do not share data with any advertising networks, analytics providers, or data brokers.

4. Local Storage

We do not use tracking cookies. However, we store a small amount of data in your browser's local storage to improve your experience:

• Device token - After verifying your email for session lookup, a token is saved so you do not need to re-verify on the same device until the latest session returned during that lookup expires.
• Pending checkout state - Temporarily stored during the payment flow to recover your session if you navigate away.

This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to any third party. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data. Our servers also reject expired device tokens after that lookup window ends.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information tied to parking sessions for as long as needed to provide the service, send receipts, support session lookup, and meet our legal, tax, and financial obligations. When that information is no longer needed for those purposes, we remove the personal identifiers (such as email and license plate) from the session record, keeping only non-identifying data for aggregate revenue reporting.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Regardless of where you are located, we believe you should have control over your personal data. You have the right to:

• Access - Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Deletion - Request that we delete your personal data. We will respond to your request and delete what we are able to remove, except where retention is required for legal, financial, or fraud-prevention obligations (for example, transaction records tied to completed payments).
• Correction - Request correction of inaccurate personal data.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level database security, and strict access controls. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or sensitive payment credentials.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
